Anti-Women Violence Pakwara was organized by Human Services Institute, Samrania at an NREGA worksite

With the objective of creating awareness about women’s rights and preventing violence against women. The NREGA site was intentionally selected as it provides direct access to a large number of women workers, especially from rural and economically vulnerable backgrounds.

During the program, women were informed about their basic rights, including the right to live with dignity, the right to equal wages, the right to a safe working environment, and protection against domestic and workplace violence. The organization explained various forms of violence against women such as physical, mental, economic, and social violence, and highlighted the importance of speaking out against abuse.

Special focus was given to government laws and schemes meant for women’s protection and empowerment. Participants were guided on where and how to seek help in case of violence, including local authorities, helplines, and support services. The session also encouraged women to support each other and build collective strength to raise their voices.

Conducting the awareness program at the NREGA site ensured maximum participation and helped reach women who may not have access to formal information channels. Overall, the Anti-Women Violence Pakwara played an important role in empowering women with knowledge, building confidence, and promoting a safer and more equitable society.
